The hotel had a lovely art deco feel and was conveniently located at the top of a hill in Spring Hill area, close to Roma St Train Station. The service from the staff, after talking on the phone, was very helpful and welcoming, making for a pleasant stay overall. However, there were some minor cleanliness issues, including dust on skirting boards, and the presence of mentally ill individuals in the area at night was a concern.

The hotel room had a good view of the city but was noisy due to its proximity to a kindergarten. Despite being different from the advertised rooms and having some cockroaches in the kitchen, the bed was comfortable and the space was nice.
